ReStart is designed and delivered by experts and blends dynamic upskilling workshops hosted both virtually and at A&O’s central London offices, with individual coaching from accredited coaches and 1:1 mentoring. ReStart is a free programme and aims to boost the knowledge, skills and confidence of participants looking to return to work.

Focusing on participants

ReStart’s 13 session programme focuses on participants including

• building their confidence and utilising their personal networks
• growing their self-awareness and understanding of their strengths and motivations
• understanding how to successfully take a new career direction and identify their transferable skills; and
• boosting their application, interview and communication skills sets

100% of previous participant say they would recommend ReStart to someone else in a similar situation.

Who is ReStart for?

ReStart targets individuals from all industries and backgrounds who:

• are over 50 years old
• are currently unemployed, and have been for between 6 months and 1 year & seeking employment due to financial need
• are looking to proactively boost their employability skills
• can commit to attending the programme in full and are within a commutable distance to Allen & Overy’s London office for in-person workshops
• have access to a laptop or PC with camera at home
• are committed to getting the most out of the programme, approaching with a growth mindset
