Every week over 25,000 children learn to swim at David Lloyd Leisure and 16,000 children learn to play tennis in the All Stars Coaching Programme.
David Lloyd Clubs’ facilities are unparalleled with over 1,080 tennis courts (40% of the UK’s indoor tennis courts) as well as over 400 badminton and squash courts and we run over 13,000 group exercise classes a week. Additional facilities include health and beauty, luxury spas, club lounges with full restaurants, free internet access, crèches, nurseries and specialist sports shops. Not only are we thrilled to have been ranked for several years in the ‘Sunday Times 25 Best Big Companies To Work For’ list, but we are also enjoying a sustained period of growth which will see us open amazing new clubs in the UK and mainland Europe.
David Lloyd Clubs have pledged to have at least one personal trainer in each club over the age of 55 by the end of 2022.
“Older members often feel more comfortable training with someone their own age,” – quote from Dave Evans, our 73-year-old David Lloyd PT who has clients aged from 12 to 80.
We are keen to challenge any perceptions that fitness, or a career in fitness, is solely a domain for younger people.
We believe any age is the right age to pursue a career as a personal trainer, so much so that we have introduced an internal 8 week training course to gain your Level 3 Personal Training qualification (if you have achieved the entry Level 2 Health & Fitness qualification)
We also offer Apprenticeships to enable a L2 Health & Fitness Coach become a Personal Trainer, offering one to one coaching, within a year.
We are proud to say we attained the Sunday Times ‘Best Big Companies to work for’ 4 years in a row. We offer a great team environment, with flexible shift patterns, where you will work alongside people from all departments as well as interacting with our friendly members on a daily basis.
You will enjoy a great range of benefits that you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the industry:
More than anything we want our Trainers to have a great ‘can do’ attitude and a passion for fitness.
So whether you are looking to kick start your career with us for the first time or if you are now retired and looking to stay active and provide brilliant customer service our members can count on; we would love to hear from you.
