Multigenerational teams are good for business; they bring a breadth of experience and viewpoints. As the population ages, organisations will need to have the policies and procedures that both attract and retain older workers and ensure their organisations are age diverse. Join us for National Older Workers Week where we will share best practice and celebrate success – all with the view to sharing the message that now is the time for age diversity.
Five generations make up today’s workforce, and over a third of the UK workforce is over 50. By 2030 half of UK adults will be over 50, so now more than ever employers need to understand the challenges and opportunities of an ageing population and work to create productive, innovative and inclusive multi-generational teams.
The mission of the age diversity campaign is to help organisations manage multigenerational teams and ensure any possible ageism is eliminated. It is also a chance to celebrate older workers.
Older workers looking to progress their career in their current role or change careers completely will benefit from attending this online event. It is a coming together of older workers to share their experiences, and to help older workers to feel valued.
We will be joined by John Lees, career strategist and author who will offer advice for those who wish to change their careers or progress further in their current role.
