As a KDB/q analytics engineer, you will be working on a global initiative to take our data engineering platforms to the next level using the latest technologies and techniques. You will be developing high quality, low maintenance, resilient solutions for our global trading businesses.

You will be working in our small but growing team, made of up of many diverse skillsets which allows for significant learning and development opportunities. There will be a focus of migrating the platform onto public cloud and integrating q/kdb into the teams’ wider data lake architecture and seek to extend the platform to new users.

This is a rapidly evolving area, and we want people who will bring a learning mindset to the role. We have set out to build a best-in-class real time calculation platform on a relatively young platform and this role will provide opportunities to use your knowledge and passion to shape that delivery.

You will also have an opportunity to get involved in integrations with other technologies (eg. DataIKU, Alation and more)

You will be responsible for:

  • End to end solution design
  • Coding
  • Dev Ops
  • Modelling
  • Cloud migration projects
  • Long term improvements
  • Business requests

Skills required:

  • KDB/q experience (3+ years)
  • proficient bash/shell scripting
  • Any experience of Java, Scala or Python would be very useful.
