Using tailored software and studio equipment, you will take small groups of students through the process of making content.What you'll do:
- Successfully facilitate three Sky Academy Studios sessions for young people aged 8-16
- Actively support young people who present with SEND to ensure session meets their needs
- Be responsible for briefing all visitors to Sky Academy Studios and complete tours which will open the door to the world of work at Sky
- Establish boundaries and challenge inappropriate behaviour
- Attend regular training and development opportunities to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and local policy developments
- Work with the Young People Executive on the school's recruitment strategy with specific focus on deprived areas
- Ensure all the correct due diligence has been done, including all safeguarding, legal, data protection and health and safety
- Support Young People Manager and Head of Young People with overall department strategy liaising with peers
- Proactive, adaptable individual who works well in time pressure situations
- Creative thinking with a talent for practical problem solving
- Confident collaborator with proven ability to work with all types of young people including SEND
- Solid communicator who can work both independently and within a team
- Ability to grasp new and complex issues quickly in a fast pace educational environment
- Proven experience of working with young people aged 8-16
- Ability to form trusted relationships with teachers and young people
- Excellent team player and self-motivated
- Prioritising your workload and taking a flexible approach to changes in direction
- The ability to encourage and inspire students
