Content Editor role to work as part of a dynamic, newly re-structured Communications & Marketing team.

The Content Editor reports into the Senior Content Manager and will create and deliver a diverse range of content for different channels. This includes social media copy, SEO-friendly website content, online news articles, customer letters and marketing emails. You'll be proactive in developing content to support our digital customer journeys and raising awareness and understanding of FSCS's service and role among our diverse external audiences.

You'll need to have strong experience in writing social media copy and be a skilled writer and editor with exceptional attention to detail. You'll be confident creating content for a range of channels, from long-form website articles to snappy and engaging social posts. We're a small team with a wide remit, so we're looking for a team player who's happy to use their initiative and get stuck in wherever they're needed.

My Priorities - what I will deliver
*Create and deliver high quality written content, from micro copy to long form, for all our digital channels.
*Write engaging and relevant social media posts for our consumer and corporate Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram channels.
*Day-to-day management of paid social ads.
*Adhere to the in-house style guide to ensure consistency in all our content.
*Proofread and edit content created by others.
*Edit, build and send marketing emails.
*Content housekeeping - ensure our content is up to date and archive any redundant content.

My Knowledge - what I need to know
*Highly articulate with an excellent understanding of written English and exceptional attention to detail.
*Able to write for a variety of formats and channels.
*Strong social media experience and knowledge of what makes a great post for different platforms.
*Experience in managing the paid side of social.
*Highly organised and able to manage and prioritise multiple commitments, delivering all of them to a high standard.
*Creative thinker with an ability to develop interesting and innovative ideas for new content.
*A proactive approach and confident working on your own initiative.
*Digitally minded with a strong understanding of content management systems, email marketing platforms and SEO.
*Team player willing to turn your hand to many different tasks.
*Competent using MS Office, eg, Word, Excel, Outlook.
