As Trading Lead, you will be accountable for delivering in quarter performance targets, understanding all commercial KPIs across your RTM, provide insights into performance and create ideas and recommendations to optimise P&L performance.

 

What you'll do:

 

- Lead a team of Managers who deliver consistent, quality analysis daily / weekly across your RTM to understand factors that positively and negatively impact in quarter P&L performance; working closely with Base Management, Trading Performance and CSG teams to ensure delivery of appropriate recovery or improvement plans.
- Create and lead the RTM strategy for meeting or exceeding quarterly targets taking into considerations multiple factors such as, (but not limited to) - commercial critical metric run rates, CSG resource, offers, marketing, competitors, economic outlook etc.
- Execute and deliver your quarterly strategy through your teams with clear, concise communication, prioritisation and task management.
- Innovate through collaboration and sharing of best practise - always leading from the front in identifying ways to improve customer/advisor processes as well as commercial performance both in the short term and feeding in longer term initiatives/requirements to the Commercial P&L and Base Management teams
- Be the lead on key critical initiatives over and above RTM performance, and deliver clear plans, business cases, timings and recommendations.
- Anticipate and provide regular updates/communications to your HoD and Director on the delivery of your plans and critical initiatives which call out progress made, future risks and recommendations to fix.
- Lead your team's efficiencies by making recommendations or improvements in areas such as reporting, RACI's, ways of working, prioritisation, meeting cadence.

 


What you'll bring:

 

- Deep understanding of data with the ability to link quantitative and qualitative inputs to produce meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Have a consistent track record of innovation and problem solving to identify solutions to business problems.
- Excellent numeracy skills along with technical skills including advance formulae excel/database/modelling; with the ability to lead and maintain large and complex data in a variety of formats to build meaningful plans - spreadsheets, templates and trackers.
- An ability to coach and train your teams in advanced formulae and Excel modelling, Tableau and PPT storytelling where skill gaps are identified.
- Credible communication skills and be able to present work to the Head of Trading and Director levels, with excellent presentation skills (written and verbal). Ability to link quantitative and qualitative inputs to create meaningful storytelling in PowerPoint with a clear layout that conveys a concise story.
- Tireless and results driven mentality, able to continually critique and optimise performance with a positive mind-set, in a high profile, pressurised environment
- An ability to react to sudden change of strategic direction with a positive, can do attitude and motivate your team to do the same.
- Able to work across a matrix organisation with Base Management, Trading Performance, Finance and CSG support teams to ensure the Sky leadership team makes informed and timely trading decisions
