Rehabilitation Nurse, Band 6

£31,365 - £37,890 pa pro rata + HCAS £4,704 - £4,822 pa pro rata

An opportunity has arisen for a band 6 within Foxbury Ward, Rehabilitation  at Queen Marys Hospital. We also welcome experienced band 5 nurses to apply who are seeking to step into the role of a band 6. The post holder will be involved with the MDT's, audits, appraisals and DATIX management and work as the nurse coordinator to support the team.  They will also be required to support the Geriatrician and the Visiting Medical Officers.

The Bromley Rehabilitation service at the Foxbury is a 30 bedded unit that delivers rehabilitation to patients within an in patient setting. The care is person-centred, focused on rehabilitation and delivered by a multi-disciplinary team.

The post-holder is required to work as part of the team delivering nursing and rehabilitation interventions to patients in the bedded unit. They are required to carry responsibility for the comprehensive assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care programmes. She/he is accountable for standards of care and for determining the activity of her/his support staff.

The postholder is responsible for assisting with the day to day management of the Unit sometimes managing their own caseload of patients and making onward referrals to appropriate services following an assessment of the patient’s needs.

Salary is dependant on NHS experience and current banding/pay point, applicants from outside the NHS will receive the start point of the salary scale in line with NHS terms & conditions.
