The need to protect Metro Bank and our customers from the impact of fraud and other financial crime risks has never been greater or more challenging. As a Card Fraud Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for making sure that the Bank has adequate systems and controls in place to effectively manage fraud and financial risk. As part of your role, you will produce and analyse MI and support on projects that provide the maximum protection against fraud to the Bank and our customers. 

Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working and you will be working remotely during the pandemic.

So what would you be doing?...

• Identifying methods to reduce card fraud risks whilst minimising the impact and interruptions on genuine card spend 

• Co-ordinating root cause analysis of all fraud cases to understand trends

• Acting as a fraud subject matter expert by providing support and guidance to colleagues across the Bank

• Addressing gaps which could be exploited by fraudsters and supporting Bank’s change activity to deliver adequate solutions 

• Developing strong controls environment for rule change governance

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• In order to hit the ground running, you will have experience of writing and optimising rules that mitigate card fraud losses by using various fraud prevention tools (Falcon, Foresight and 3D secure related services)

• You need to have a good understanding of the fraud regulations and payment services directive requirements 

• Naturally, you will have extensive knowledge of fraud threats to the Bank and its customers, Bank’s fraud policies and minimum standards

• It is key that you display great stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to approach people at all levels of seniority 

• We need you to have excellent attention to detail and great analytical skills - this role involves organising and analysing multiple, complex alerts, cases and data sets  

• To be successful in this role, you will have thorough knowledge of project management methodologies
