Job Details

As the UK's largest retail, commercial and Digital bank, we've a big responsibility to support the UK economy and help it prosper.

As part of our transformation we're moving to a mixed Cloud model incorporating platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 and, with it, CRM, SharePoint, Yammer, OneDrive and PowerBI.

To achieve this, we're looking for you to join us to focus on its underlying configuration and Cloud platform.

About this role:

You'll be the technical leader of a team performing the installation, configuration and maintenance of CRM Dymanics, SharePoint Online, Yammer, OneDrive and PowerBI products and services in line with our standards and policies to agreed service levels. You'll provide ongoing technical support (including incident and problem resolution) for systems and processes in the Microsoft 365 area. And you'd provide technical and procedural advice to business customers on how to get the best from our new product set.

You'll also carry out technical activities to support project delivery, service improvements and change related to ongoing maintenance of the platforms.

It is a hands-on role - working hand in glove with many different teams and suppliers. From Security and Networks colleagues and others you'll need to craft the relationships which will enable an end-to-end service

What else will you be involved with?

We'll ask you to identify and implement improvements to technical processes, toolsets and services to increase efficiencies. You'll identify and deliver remediation of all risks associated with the platform across delivery, security and cost. You'll be working closely with key suppliers to maintain the platform and monitor their provision of service along with taking care of complex technical issues. Additionally, you'll build the capability of onshore and offshore colleagues to support and maintain the Infrastructure services.

So what are we looking for in you?

We're looking for specific skills in the following areas:

  • Domain expertise in Microsoft 365 and associated technologies and services.
  • A subject matter expert in how to configure M365 and D365 tenants
  • A good working knowledge of data infrastructure and data security with regards to Microsoft cloud technologies
  • Ability to input and feedback on strategic designs and create service design documentation
  • The skills to define user requirements and test/implement solutions to meet changing business needs.
  • A good working knowledge of the technical operational processes used to deploy and change the technical infrastructure.
  • The ability to resolve service issues and identify their root causes.
  • Able to deliver quickly via agile methodology

You'll be expected to perform out of hours support, in order to implement technical changes and provide support for our systems

And beyond the technical skills?

You'll lead technical delivery for agreed number of change projects - coordinating all aspects to achieve agreed outcomes and continuous improvements within time, cost and quality parameters.

As you'd expect we'll want you to possess the communication skills to build positive relationships with partners, customers and colleagues to influence decisions appropriately at all levels.

And you'll naturally take a nurturing approach to colleagues to build confidence and capability in new skills whilst allocating resources to tasks and balancing priorities.

What will you get in return?

We're dedicated to giving you opportunities and support to develop you both expertly and personally to optimise your potential. As a new colleague, you'll join us on our journey to build a 21st century bank that reflects modern Britain and craft an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel encouraged and valued.

We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We're an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.

So, if you have the experience we're seeking then get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.

Together we make it possible...

We’re creating an organisation that attracts, retains and develops the best talent in the industry, and one that openly embraces diversity too. But more than that – we want to be a great place to work.

We invest in our people, offering the best training and coaching, and by encouraging them to contribute to our leading corporate and social responsibility practices.

We offer flexible working hours and days, under our Work Options scheme. This means that you can have a challenging and rewarding career, and still have an ideal work/life balance.

Flexible working is at the heart of our strategy. We’re re-imagining where, when, and how our people work, with new approaches designed to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and colleagues. These include increasing our use of remote-working tools and technology, as well as placing less reliance on a 9-to-5 mindset. For many of our office-based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.
