We are currently recruiting for a Distributor to join the WHSmith.co.uk team based at our head office in Swindon. The primary function of the role is to ensure that the books offered for sale from our Swindon warehouse are managed in an efficient and timely manner ensuring that the range is current and has excellent stock availability in a rapidly expanding and dynamic environment.  

What you’ll be doing:
•    Planning and managing New Releases into the business
•    Communicate regularly with Direct and High Street books teams and Swindon Distribution Centre 
•    Stock transfer management
•    Purchase order management & tracking
•    Communication with Suppliers 
•    Deliver website availability targets
•    Execute stock exit plans  
    
What we are looking for:
•    An individual who has great attention to detail and is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously 
•    Previous experience in a similar Retail role will be advantageous. 
•    A recent Graduate or, relevant experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain role will also be considered
•    Understanding of stock replenishment and allocation methods will be beneficial
•    Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally and at all levels
•    Intermediate Excel skills
•    Good analytical skills 
•    Ability to identify trends, and consider the impact of your actions with regards to costs / stock 
•    Team player with the ability to work to often tight and conflicting deadlines
