We are seeking an experienced Digital Business Partner to develop trusted and influential relationships with senior stakeholders within the allocated DfT Group.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established Digital team in a senior leadership position. You will have a varied and engaging role here at the DfT, enabling you to work across a range of digital business areas. Your role will see you shape demand for digital capability and use knowledge to provide actionable insight to Digital Service to be better prepared for future organisational demands, influence business planning and identify opportunities for the application of innovative technologies to better meet user need and ensure that potential business value from digital services is captured, optimised and communicated.
 

Responsibilities

include but are not limited to;

• Developing trusted and influential relationships with senior stakeholders within the allocated DfT Group.
• Understanding business perspective of digital services, both at strategic and tactical levels, to ensure user needs are met.
• Collaborating actively with DfT Groups on opportunities, demand and priorities identification.
• Understanding, anticipating, influencing and defining digital demand for services.
• Shaping the Digital Service’s portfolio of services and product offerings.
• Identify the need for advice and guidance to be provided to support the digitisation of services in line with Government standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant controls for Digital Projects.
• Create roadmaps/accounts plans for your area of responsibility allowing colleagues to shape the technology / digital needs of the wider organisation

About You

To thrive in this role, you will have tried experience and knowledge of working within the digital arena, knowledge of business partnering and extensive past experience of working closely with business stakeholders. You will be able to make decisions characterised by managed levels of risk and complexity and recommend decisions as risk and complexity increase. Capable of resolving disputes between wider peers and indirect stakeholders, taking into account all views and opinions, see the bigger picture by taking groups of requests, investigating commonality and identifying underpinning capabilities required and be able to analyse current processes, identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes and leads and develops a team of experts to deliver service improvements.

A recognised Business Relationship Management qualification (BRMP or equivalent) is desirable.

This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.

• an interview
• an interview and a technical exercise (eg presentation, written exercise etc)
• a full day of activities including interactive, written and timed exercises
