Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP International Content Investment, this role will drive insight into our content investment decision making and build our understanding of content value across the business. Drawing on a broad commercial skillset, the Director will be involved in projects with a wide variety of stakeholders and adjacent teams, enhancing our view of content across the lifecycle.
 

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the VP International Content Investment to drive insight into content value across our markets:

  • Identify and build analysis to pinpoint content investment dynamics and trends, building a view on what drives value across platforms and markets
  • Prepare insights for senior management and content stakeholders. Support regular reporting cycle as well as ad hoc strategic projects and presentations 
  • Manage multi-market and multi-platform business cases enabling quick decision making when required, designing tools to support this 
  • Work closely with content, programming and production teams to evolve content processes and structures to support how we do business 
  • Coordinate working group of international content finance representatives to capture content narrative and key themes around content performance and planning 
  • Utilize and influence development of key content insight tools and dashboards

 

Evolve digital insights in partnership with connected teams: 

  • Work closely with content and digital finance community to identify and track KPIs in relation to DTC performance dynamics and investment 
  • Collaborate on building DTC content investment reporting and evaluation tools, evolving current processes to include additional insights as available. Link complementary activities across teams
  • Identify and share best practices

 

Strategic involvement in content greenlight process:

  • Strategic support greenlight process, evolving review process, identifying key analyses and feedback loops to markets    
  • Monitor latest ROI and content profitability approaches across markets, promote consistency and accuracy
  • Work with global team to maximise use of tools and systems 

 

Drive continuous improvement in content investment process:

  • Automate manual activities to be more efficient e.g. actuals tracking
  • Support finance and content supply chain initiatives on end-to-end data flow 

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience gained from working within FP&A, Business Development, Strategy, or Commercial teams
  • Experience of working within a media business 
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills including experience developing presentations for senior leaders 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with quickly evolving, often uncertain, business goals
  • Experience with working independently, reaching out to people within the organization, and consolidating data from many different stakeholders
