The main purpose of this newly created role is to support colleagues with their everyday HR needs and develop them through designing and delivering training specific to our needs. 

Your main responsibilities:

Development

You will work with our management and leadership team to understand our existing knowledge and skills gaps and design training solutions to meet these specific needs. 

You will deliver a variety of training including classroom-based, coaching, online learning and knowledge sharing so our colleagues have the knowledge and skills to deliver our future business needs. 

You will support and coach managers to create career plans for colleagues who show potential for leadership roles in future.

You will evaluate any learning provided to ensure it adds demonstrable value and share these results regularly with our management and leadership team.

Hiring the right people

You will advise managers through our recruitment process so we hire the right skills, experience and style to fit our company culture as well as elevating our performance. 

You will co-ordinate pre-employment checks and ensure there is a planned introduction for new hires which includes a structured learning plan.  This will ensure they a great start to Rowan and become high performers.

Supporting our colleagues

You will provide accurate employee relations, organisational change and people management guidance to all colleagues.  You will also provide an independent, trusted confidential listening service. 

Creating a great employee experience

You will support our efforts to stand out as an attractive, inspiring employer in our market.  You will support the measure of these regularly through engagement surveys and exit interviews.

You will be responsible for HR administration including but not limited to creating monthly People reports, electronic employee record keeping, pre-employment checks and formal meeting outcome letters.

Any other reasonable duties requested by your manager to successfully complete the role

The qualifications and experience we are looking for:

  • Relevant L&D certification
  • CIPD qualified or working towards
  • 1 years+ experience in L&D role
  • Ideally 1 years+ experience in HR role but not essential
  • knowledge and experience of effective learning and development method
