Starting salary £35,000 - £41,000 per annum depending on experience and location plus £1,300pa Essential Car User Allowance*

The Corporate Health & Safety team forms part of the second line of defence; designing and implementing policies, providing guidance and support to enable risk management, implementing the audit programme, monitoring compliance and introducing best practice.

We are looking for a Corporate Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join our specialist team. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you will provide advice and support on a wide range of health and safety subjects to frontline staff and management teams as required. This will include driving exemplary H&S practice across all of L&Q’s workplaces, monitoring compliance, along with other related duties such as delivering H&S training and monitoring staff engagement and safe behaviour. You will also be adept at managing and delivering specific health and safety related projects as required by the business.

To be shortlisted you must be able to clearly demonstrate the following:-

·       Be professionally competent with a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate and be affiliated to an internationally recognised health and safety institute.

·       Able to demonstrate in depth experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisory role within a multi-site environment, and ideally gained in the Housing Sector.

·       Have knowledge of staff wellbeing matters and have experience of delivering wellbeing initiatives and programmes.

·       Posses a thorough knowledge of relevant Occupational Health & Safety legislation, underpinned by Continuous Professional Development.

·       Be familiar and competent in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and will have used this in delivering the safety message through reports, statistics and training.

 

Your approach and attitude will be equally as important to us as your academic qualifications. You will be a strong team player who is happy to have a hands-on approach in helping to achieve a ‘safety culture’ within our organisation. You will be willing to undertake personal development as necessary.

Car owner/driver essential

You may be required to travel to other offices within the Group as determined by the business need. Therefore it is desirable that you are able to legally drive in the UK and have access to a vehicle on a pre-arranged basis.

*ECU Allowance is paid in accordance with requirements of the relevant policy as updated from time to time.
