As a Casual Car Parker you will support the car parking process at the National Memorial Arboretum, this will involve directing people, cars, motorbikes, coaches to suitable parking locations in our car park management process, advising people where they can pay for parking.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing a warm welcome and delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for maintaining professional communication and ensuring high standards of visitor care at all times. Your role will involve directing drivers to ensure cars are parked safely and orderly, as well as greeting visitors with a good working knowledge of the site, highlighting opportunities to enhance their experience, and acting as an ambassador for the Arboretum.

You will support the Arboretum’s Grounds and Caretaking teams by maintaining excellent presentation standards, including assisting with tasks such as litter picking and tidying the car parking areas. You will work as part of a larger team within the NMA, contributing to organisational objectives with a flexible approach. Your role also includes supporting the events team during larger on-site events, working closely with the police and control room to manage safe vehicle movement.

Regular weekend, bank holiday, and school holiday shifts are required, along with occasional evening work. Standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR

The role is casual and is varied on visitor numbers and events, this may involve working weekends, evenings as required. Due the nature of the role this is based outside and will continue in all weather conditions, all uniform is provided.
