Role: Finance Team Leader
Location: Head Office, Leicester
Salary: Competitive plus bonus & benefits
Based at our Head Office in Leicester this is a great opportunity to join Next’s Finance Operations department. As a Finance Team Leader you will oversee day-to-day operations, lead a dynamic team and drive high-profile projects. If you thrive in a fast paced environment, excel at problem solving and have an eye for detail this role is for you.
About the role:
- As a Finance Team Leader you'll be responsible for the day to day running of the area to ensure high accuracy of work is delivered by the team whilst supporting the business in delivering high profile projects and managing a growing supplier base of active suppliers.
- Team management across both UK and outsourced teams
- Highlight in a timely manner areas of non compliance, high volumes and breach of business process & policy
- Review and monitor the teams output ensuring great attention to detail to deliver work to the highest of standards
- Prioritise own and teams workload amongst conflicting priorities and key business deadlines
- Management of daily and weekly payment runs and forward planning for key payments
- Ledger reconciliations and month end accruals
- Review and monitoring of management information to take appropriate action
- Training, mentoring and development of team to build a service oriented team
- Build a team who have a culture of building excellent relationships with key suppliers, problem solving and ownership.
About you:
Essential
- Experience of working in a Financial Accounting environment
- A desire to lead and motivate
- A good communicator, you’ll be comfortable presenting in meetings and liaising with all levels of management
- You possess high level IT skills to complement your ability to analyse and interpret information
- Able to manage and prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met and excellent levels of customer service are maintained.
- You’ll be used to thinking on your feet and making decisions
- You’re able to manage and prioritise your workload and have the flexibility to handle operational issues whilst still hitting other deadlines
Desirable
- Proven track record in managing a high performance team or experience in working in AP
- Strong Management skills / ability to motivate a team
