Role Overview

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance Business Partnering role.
The Finance Business Partnering team is responsible for being trusted advisers to the business and adding real value and strategic insight to assist in decision making. 

In this role you will be managing a team of 3 Finance Business Partners and you will lead and develop the team. You will need a full understanding of the factors that affect Nest commercially (both internally and externally) and expert knowledge in the application of analysis to support strategic development, to have, or to develop, a deep understanding of the commercial drivers for Nest and are required to be a strong advocate for accurate, relevant and timely analysis in discussions with senior colleagues.

Directorate/Department Overview

The Nest Finance team is split into the following areas: Business Partnering, Corporation Finance and Pension Scheme Accounting. 

The Finance Business Partnering team is responsible for:

  • Delivering a high quality finance business partnering function – providing support and analysis to the business
  • Being trusted advisers to the business and adding real value and strategic insight to assist in decision making;
  • Supporting key scheme and programme initiatives such as retirement solutions with insightful and accurate analysis.
  • Presenting outcomes to ExCo, NCGB and other stakeholders as required
  • Supporting the corporation wide business planning process and business cases where relevant.
  • Developing and maintaining a culture of financial awareness and value for money and supporting processes;
  • Supporting the Director of Finance in developing and maintaining a culture of continual improvement of processes and procedures within the finance department.
