International Payroll Manager
Location: London or Swindon
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced International Payroll Manager to join our talented People Team based at either our London or Swindon office on a permanent basis, to head up Payroll for our International division managing a small team and be fully accountable for the end-to-end payroll process for our international markets. The main purpose of this role is to ensure all Payroll processes are executed appropriately, including end-to-end payroll across EMEA, T&A, compliance of tax and third party payments in a timely manner.
Responsibilities will include:
- Effective management of the company payrolls across EMEA and leading the team
- Support the growth of the business and implement payrolls in new countries across EMEA
- Accountable for ongoing management of effective client service relationship in our International business area as the main point of contact for stakeholders
- Lead a team of 2 and train team members on new or enhanced operation procedures and policies
- Prepare work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
- Assist in monitoring workload and evaluate direct reports and may review the evaluations/development plans of others.
- Defines standards and reusable approaches within the Payroll operational framework.
- Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes.
- Implement quality control measures.
- Interpret day-to-day business objectives and preparation/execution of operational practices/work programs.
- Support the growth of the business and implement payrolls in new countries across EMEA
Requirements for the role:
- Previous experience working within International Payroll and comfortable managing complex payroll for c30 different countries and flexible to work with more countries as the business develops
- A good knowledge of different European countries payroll and tax legislation and practices
- Experience of working with payroll systems and outsourced Payroll providers
- Experience of managing the day to day relationship of a payroll provider
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent problem-solving experience
- Experience in a shared service environment and solid understanding of HR cycles
- Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates with all levels of customers and stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to changing environment and support of multiple stakeholders
- Ability to analyse/interpret data and take appropriate action
