A new opportunity has arisen for a driven, committed, and enthusiastic construction professional to join L&Q as part of the commercial team working on site in Barking.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a construction sector professional seeking to advance their career in an expanding business.

Within this role you will be managing the administration and commercial interests of L&Q across a number of mixed tenure housing projects (including pre and post contract duties). This includes the procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value to a programme whilst at all times protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting.

You will work closely with the technical and construction teams on new build housing projects from conception to handover, attending project design and pre-contract meetings as well as site progress meetings to ensure a full knowledge of the project and its contractual obligations. It will involve taking responsibility for the financial and full contractual management of construction schemes including monthly management reports.

This position requires a history of robust and proven quantity surveying experience with the ability to understand and contribute to the development of technical drawings and specifications enhanced by a thorough understanding of building regulations and health and safety legislation.

It is essential you have excellent written and oral communication skills and a good working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
