The Role

At Sky Connect we are looking for a Senior Insights & Analytics Manager that will help shape and devise the B2B Customer Data strategy. Owning and mapping both our B2B prospect and existing customer database for marketing purposes. Working closely with Marketing, Technology, and Compliance teams to ensure our data is clean, robust and compliant. You'll step change usage of 1st and 3rd party data, partnering with data suppliers to feed our intent-focused data strategy, at the greatest quality to optimise business performance. You will help us define opportunities, target segments, and deliver insight to help drive the right commercial plan.

As a senior Insights & Analytics manager at Sky Connect, You'll build and lead a team to manage large data sets, gleaning relevant insights and delivering transformational improvements. You will work cross functionally on a number of large projects e.g. attribution and transitioning web analytics platforms.

What You'll Do:

  • You'll be an expert in managing a Marketing Customer Database, ensuring data is segmented and cleansed for multiple marketing channels (Email, DM, Digital, OBTM) and delivering a step change in how we manage our prospect and customer data
  • Deliver optimised datasets to drive prospect acquisition and customer retention & upsell campaigns. Ensuring adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
  • Devise the approach to data segmentation, develop cohorts and present the data to support campaigns, trials and tests
  • Spearhead data optimisation projects that drive tangible business insights on customer segments, behaviours, channels. Identifying persona's, behaviors, and growth opportunities
  • Combine multiple sources to assure a 360 view. Join our customer data, prospect data and analytics together, set-out and drive requirements for appropriate platforms and solutions for housing data
  • Own data architecture projects and build out future data roadmap
  • Drive improvements across our Martech / Analytics ecosystem to ensure seamless performance
  • Build out our 1st & 3rd party data strategy and data augmentation, to step change performance through garnering the widest possible prospect reach and enriching our data through intent
  • Manage commercial relationships with our 3rd party data partners
  • Be accountable for defining and implementing marketing data governance across Sky Connect including information strategy, architecture, integration and utilisation
  • Be accountable for GDPR compliance. Utilise your technical expertise and compliance knowledge to oversee the collection, management, storage, and usage of marketing data. Ensuing adherence to guidance including data capture, resting, contact periods etc. Developing and owning policies to be rolled out internally as required
  • You'll collaborate closely with our wider Sky tech, data and compliance teams to understand wider business objectives, prioritise activity and deliver timely solutions

What you'll bring:

Enthusiasm for solving business problems with data and cutting-edge technology

  • Very experienced in Data modelling or similar discipline, knowledge of data mining tools such as Modeller Saas, Python
  • Data warehousing experience and the ability to define requirements and fluently discuss data models, data flows, data attribution and technology
  • Strong Business Intelligence skills and the ability to bring data to life
  • Confidence in developing and owning our data governance and strategy
  • Comfort in using and interacting with large data files and databases, across a range of technologies
  • Advanced Big data and analytical skills including SQL for enabling large scale data transformation and analysis
  • Experience using data platforms and technology: Cloud based platforms e.g. Google Cloud Platform. Data visualisation tools e.g. Tableau (or similar, Datorama), Google Data Studio, GA
  • Statistical analysis skills to feed decision making
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving, using data to solve business challenge
  • Experience leading a team of data analysts
  • Ability to build, cooperate and nurture multiple collaborative relationships
  • Commercial and CRM experience to enable the team to drive actionable insights
  • Ability to interact with the directorate and senior stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver to complex briefs and tell a story with data
