You help will lead a team Service Operations Analysts that will help support, manage, and report on the Adtech platforms. with a fast-growing focus on Cloud-first, machine learning, AI Ops observability and automation within an Agile / DevOps framework, that deliver outstanding levels of service to Sky Media across Sky Group. You will be deputising for the Service Operations manager and be expected to lead team and communicate with the wider business when required.

What you'll do
  • You will help build a high performing service-oriented team that delivers to the department vision in a sustainable and managed fashion and one that can be scaled to meet the group demands. One that is flexible and fit for purpose.
  • You will help to create and maintain management reporting, which is evidence based and data driven, continuously striving to improve our live service through analysis, measurement, and reporting.
  • You will champion our new ways of working and help foster a collaborative, creative and inclusive culture. You will exhibit Sky's core values and those we chose to adopt from the DevOps framework.
  • Service delivery will be at the heart of everything we do, safeguarding the business from outages or quality concerns. You will be driven by a desire to automate, to use new cloud-based technology and new ways of measuring and reporting the service.
  • You will strive to do things better, from outage limitation to process improvements, to the way we communicate to how we measure and report, looking at every issue and problem with a view to improvement.
  • Rome wasn't built in a day, so we will do this in an agile way and use automation and cloud tech wherever possible.
What you'll bring
  • Strong ITIL or Agile SDM experience. Excellent Incident management expertise. A proven problem solver.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Energised and enthusiastic.
  • Experience of working in an Agile & DevOps culture

Business knowledge - The successful candidate will have worked in a similar Adtech or Media organisation and have a proven record of delivering outstanding levels of service.

A strong background in cloud platform management.

  • Experience in Cloud-based systems operated at scale on GCP and AWS (Containerised and Serverless), with a focus on resiliency and scalability.
  • A good technical understanding of Observability platforms such as Elastic Search, Splunk, Grafana or similar solutions and of call logging and reporting systems.
  • Well versed in all the ITIL ITSM standards. The ability to construct contractual SLAs and define service metrics. An understanding of what matters to our business and the ability to deliver against time critical SLAs.
  • A track record of managing high priority incidents, ensuring all affected parties are informed of the impact and actions.
  • Experience in managing and negotiating with internal stakeholders and external vendors and partners. Excellent interpersonal skills.
