As the Commercial Planning Lead you will manage a passionate team and be truly empowered to set strategic direction for not only the quarterly strategy but also through separate workstreams dictated by the vast amount of levers we have at our disposal that are truly fluid and sit outside of the traditional quarterly planning cycle.

Sky Mobile operates in a fast paced and dynamic industry that dictates agile thinking and a restless approach to ongoing and forward-thinking initiatives. The Mobile Commercial team is responsible for activity from inception all the way through to delivery, so is truly empowered and takes a strong sense of accountability towards Sky Mobile performance from both a growth and Financial perspective.

What you'll do:
  • Have the opportunity to make a clear and visible impact to the success of a fast-growing business
  • Own and set out the quarterly strategy across all Net Growth levers, keeping across our competitiveness in market, ensuring Sky Mobiles share performance
  • Determine our offer strategy to maximise sales opportunities as well as monetise our existing base utilising data on customer segments to talk to customers at the right time
  • Sky Mobile is growing area of focus, and you will get the opportunity to shape and scope the thinking behind our 2022 H2 plans and influence 2023 budget and Long range plan
  • Execute and deliver your quarterly strategy through your teams with clear, concise communication, prioritisation and task management.
  • Be the lead on key strategic initiatives that boost financials, delivering clear plans, business cases, timings and recommendations
  • Live and breathe Sky values and behaviours, inspiring and motivating your team, ensuring they are properly coached, and performance managed e.g. PDPs, mentoring, training and succession planning

What you'll bring:
  • Strategic thinking - developing future strategies and recommending options
  • Analytical & structured thinking - able to quickly interpret performance / market insights, appraise options and recommend a clear course of action
  • A results oriented approach - excited about evaluating performance and suggesting improvements
  • Numerate with a solid understanding of commercial metrics and comfortable producing business cases
  • An action oriented approach - making improvements when KPI's are off their targets
  • Concise communication skills - whether outlining recommendations to senior stakeholders or mobilising teams to make changes happen
  • Stakeholder management - working with various teams to help deliver strong performance
  • Strong Excel skills
