Job Details

As a Media Quality Assurance Operator, you will be assessing Sky's Linear and On Demand content ahead of its release to our platforms, such as Sky Glass, Sky Q, and NOW, to ensure the video and audio quality meet the high standards our customers expect.

One day you could be working on highlights of the evening's Premier League action, the next you might be validating the latest high-profile movie premiere.

Our team takes pride in its role of delivering the best customer experience possible!

What you'll do

  • This position is with the Quality Control & Assurance team, whose responsibilities include the quality assurance of all of Sky's Linear and VOD & OTT content

  • This is achieved through validating the output of auto quality checking tools, using spot-checks and full assessments

  • You will be working to tight deadlines and prioritising your work volumes based on release dates and times

  • You will be identifying the causes of errors, and recommending solutions to stakeholders

  • The team deals with quality queries from clients both internal and external to the business

  • You will be delivering accurate data relating to the assessments you carry out each day, to feed into clear and concise reporting that drives service improvements across the business

What you'll bring

  • A love of great content

  • An understanding of video production and any associated quality issues

  • A great work ethic, being flexible, conscientious, and highly collaborative

  • Excellent communication skills and high standards when it comes to delivering great service

  • A demonstrable ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured, business critical role

  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to effectively prioritise when faced with multiple deadlines

  • An ability to take responsibility for certain areas of work and be proactive with problem solving

  • You must be able to work on a rotating shift pattern that covers 24 hours per day, seven days per week

How you'll work:

We know the world has changed, and we want to offer our employees the chance to collaborate at our unique office spaces, whilst enjoying the convenience of working from home.

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. You'll find out more about what this means for this role during the recruitment process.

Your office base:

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There's also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you'll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.

We take pride in our approach to diversity and inclusion: we've been recognised by The Times and Stonewall for this, and we've committed £30million to support the fight against racial injustice. We've also set ambitious targets for increasing ethnic diversity and representation throughout our organisation.

At Sky we don't just look at your CV. We're more focused on who you are and your potential. We also know that everyone has a life outside work, so we're happy to support you as much as we can with flexible shift patterns.

And we'll do everything we can to support you during your application. If you need us to make any adjustments to our recruitment process, speak to our recruitment team who will be happy to support you.
